Kilgore Legislative Update Tour Event Will Go On As Scheduled

The Legislative Update Tour lunch at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow at Country Tavern in Kilgore will go on as scheduled. There was concern that Tropical Storm Cindy would prevent the TBA Lobby Team from flying to Kilgore. This event has NOT been canceled.

In a letter to Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (R-Mo.) last week, Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said that the Fed will provide banks with more details on the stress testing process in response to calls from lawmakers and others for greater transparency.

Fed Hikes Rates; One More Increase Expected in 2017

As expected by many analysts, the Federal Open Market Committee decided yesterday to raise the target federal funds rate to 1 to 1.25 percent — the second of 2017 and the fourth since the committee resumed rate hikes in December 2015.
