TBA's 126th Annual Convention & Exposition, open to member and non-member bankers, associate members, exhibitors and sponsors, will be held May 5-7, 2010, at the newly constructed JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio. Hundreds of bank CEOs, directors, executive vice presidents and senior management decision-makers will gather for educational programs, networking events, an extensive exhibit hall, golf tournament and the annual changing of volunteer leadership.

Convention Highlights

BankPac Activities: When the auctioneer of the BankPac Live Auction also happens to be the TBA Chairman, you can expect a memorable evening. This year's auction will be preceded by a "Battle of the Bankers" Wii gaming competition between Chairman Wes Hoskins and Chairman-Elect Jeff Austin III. They'll be battling it out for BankPac dollars in one of the following games: boxing, golf or tennis.

The Live and Silent Auction items promise to be better and more unique than ever before. BankPac Jet Ski Sweepstakes: Make a $50 personal contribution to TBA BankPac State for a chance to win a pair of 2010 Yamaha VX Cruisers with trailer. The drawing will be held Friday, May 7 at noon in the Exhibit Hall.

BankPac Bunco: Let the good times roll. Spend the afternoon rolling the dice and enjoying refreshments and great conversion with old and new friends. Bunco is a social game that involves 100 percent luck and no skill. Your $20 contribution registers you to play and helps support your favorite PAC. Whether this is your first time playing or if you are a Bunco veteran, the odds are in your favor that you’ll have a blast! And, if you’re lucky, you’ll leave with one of many great prizes.

Exhibit Hall Activities: With more than 100 exhibit booths, fun activities and networking opportunities, TBA's Exhibit Hall bustles with bankers and guests. The Exhibit Hall is the place to learn about the many new products and services available for your banks. Plus, bankers will have the opportunity to win $200 every 20 minutes while the Exhibit Hall is open. On Friday at 12:30 p.m., one lucky banker will go home with a grand prize valued at $2,500. The Exhibit Hall is also the site of convention registration, receptions, the Exhibit Hall Preview Party on Wednesday and lunch on Friday.

TBA Golf Tournament: Kick off your Convention experience with a pre-convention golf tournament at the AT&T Canyons Course, located on the grounds of the JW Marriott San Antonio Resort. Situated inside the 2,800 rolling acres of the Cibolo Canyons development at the base of the Texas Hill Country, the AT&T Canyons Course, designed by Pete Dye and PGA Tour Player Consultant Bruce Lietzke, the course is only accessible to club members or guests of the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort. The $185 fee per player includes breakfast, lunch, green fees, card and range balls. Prizes will be awarded.
