The Texas Bankers Association's 128th Annual Convention & Exposition will be held May 9-11, 2012, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. This year's keynote speaker is Gen. Stan McChrystal, former Commander of U.S. and International Forces in Afghanistan.

Other speakers include: Richard W. Fisher (invited), president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas; economist Chris Low, master storyteller Steve Gilliland; Kelly McDonald, a marketing and advertising expert; Albert C. "Kell" Kelly Jr., chairman of the American Bankers Association; and Capt. Brian Udell, an accomplished aviator.

A panel will discuss "What Keeps You Up at Night in a Threatening Regulatory Environment?" The panel is comprised of Sanford M. Brown, managing partner, Bracewell and Giuliani, LLP, Dallas; John C. Fleming, attorney with Hays & Owens, LLP, Austin; and Stan E. McCormick, corporate counsel for Frost National Bank in San Antonio. Moderating is Samuel P. Golden, former Ombudsman for the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

In addition to the slate of nationally recognized speakers, Convention features an exhibit hall filled with banking technology, products and services and receptions and other social events.

Special events include a golf tournament at Ridglea Country Club, armadillo races and a silent auction benefitting TBA BankPac and a memorable Chairman's Dinner featuring entertainment from country and western singer Jeff Allen.

Optional activities include a "Culture & Cowgirls" tour of the Kimbell Art Museum and National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame and a presentation by stylist Bobbi Schwartz on "Top Fashion Trends of 2012."

Chairman's Dinner Featuring Jeff Allen - Presented by Insperity
Break out the boots and Western wear -- the Chairman's Dinner is going Country! Up-and-coming Country Western singer Jeff Allen will entertain guests with his no-holds-barred brand of music, which blurs the line between outlaw attitude and mainstream accessibility. Allen's fan base continues to grow with the release of his latest self-titled EP, "Jeff Allen." A familiar face at Gruene Hall and the Coupland Inn, Allen has a riveting stage presence and an uncanny gift for penning heart-piercing lyrics. You'll also be sure to hear many of your all-time favorite songs. Attire: Western wear/casual.
