Today's newspapers are filled with headlines about the credit crisis, foreclosures and bank failures. The good news is, thanks to a healthy economy and low foreclosure rates, Texas seems to be the exception to the rule. In fact, many Texas banks are enjoying prosperity and growth. Some are even experiencing a record-breaking year. The national headlines and newscasts, however, can instill fear in your customers. As a result, the Texas Bankers Association has put together the following materials for you to use to reassure customers and the public at large about the safety and soundness of Texas banks. If you have any questions, please address them to Olivia Solis, vice president of marketing & communications, at 512-472-8388 or .

PowerPoint Presentation

The Texas Bankers Association has prepared a PowerPoint presentation you can use when asked to present at Rotary or Kiwanis Club meetings, as well as any other community organizations. The presentation touches on the good things banks do in their communities, as well as the effects of onerous regulations on banks as well as their customers.

Brochure to hand out to your community

The Texas Bankers Association has prepared an industry brochure that paints a comprehensive picture of all the good Texas banks are doing for their communities and the state with statistics, facts, figures and anecdotes. The information in the brochure was gathered from the 2010 Community Investment Survey, the American Bankers Association and past award winners of the Texas Bankers Foundation Cornerstone and Leaders in Financial Education (LiFE) Awards.

The print-ready PDF can be printed on 11x17 paper and handed out in your bank, at community events and to local and state officials and lawmakers. Download the brochure. (13.4MB)
