The Texas Bankers Foundation was formed in 1991 to focus on graduate schools of banking scholarships, the 50-Year Banker Awards and the Robbery Rewards program. Today, the Foundation, which is led by a 12-person Board of Directors, is involved in so much more. Initiatives include spearheading financial literacy efforts; administering the Cornerstone, Leaders in Financial Education and Emerging Leader Awards; setting up special relief funds to support Texas communities in times of disaster; offering a variety of banking scholarships to banking programs and banking schools; and providing grants to local 4-H and FFA programs.
