136th Annual Convention

TBA’s 136th Annual Convention returns to downtown Austin

With a redefined attendee experience, TBA’s 136th Annual Convention returns to the Live Music Capital of the World with something for everyone. Featuring a next generation platform, the event will boast a hybrid experience featuring both in-person and virtual options.

Guests are invited to join TBA in downtown Austin for a first-class Convention experience for learning, collaboration and innovation. Following the live event on August 25-27, a virtual event will take place on September 1-2. With a focus on “Challenge. Change. Opportunity.,” this year’s convention allows attendees to convene and network with fellow bankers and banking suppliers as well as share ideas, learn about industry issues, political updates and much more.

Attendees will be treated to a fully integrated one-stop event solution with the all-new Innovation and Education Pavilion. This year, TBA has elevated the overall experience with a combined seminar and exhibit space for added ease.

“We are so excited to showcase the Innovation and Education Pavilion at this year’s Convention. This new format will allow for networking and business to take place all in one location,” said Necoya Tyson, vice president of banker education and events at TBA. “We think that our bankers, exhibiting companies and endorsed partners will really enjoy this new layout and the features highlighted in the space.”

Featuring over 45 booths with easy access to TBA’s endorsed partners, the Pavilion will include all exhibits, lounge areas and various TBA highlighted areas such as CREATE, BankPac and Texas Bankers Foundation as well as guest speakers on the main stage throughout the event.

Hope for the Warriors logoTBA’s Convention would not be complete without its TBA Golf Tournament. Set to kick off the official live Convention event, the tournament will take place at the Omni Barton Creek Golf Course – Fazio Canyons. This year’s tournament will benefit Hope for the Warriors, a national nonprofit organization that aids combat wounded service members, their families and the families of those killed in action.

Attendees are invited to enjoy a round of golf complete with a special Cheat4Charity challenge designed by golf and teaching professional, five-time Guinness World Record holder and charity fundraising specialist Michael Furrh. Golfers will also be able to test their luck as TBA auctions off a custom-built 8-foot club and logo head from Furrh to commemorate the tournament.

Back by popular demand, guests will also be able to attend Convention favorites including the Opening Reception, BankPac Live Auction and Texas Bankers Foundation Silent Auction, to name a few.

Following the live event, a virtual Convention experience will take place via an all-in-one event and community platform, Sept. 1-2. This format will feature several education sessions to choose from, exclusive for the virtual Convention, that bankers don’t want to miss. Plus, in-person attendees will have access to both live and virtual events.

Online registration for TBA’s 136th Annual Convention hybrid experience is now open. Both in-person with virtual and virtual-only registration options are available. In addition to Convention registration, bankers can opt-in to the golf tournament.

Bankers who are unable to participate in this year’s golf tournament are encouraged to help Hope for the Warriors fulfill its mission by contributing to the organization online at www.tinyurl.com/Hope4theWarriors.
