TBA Convention to include panel discussion on the future of the banking industry
TBA is pleased to announce the latest addition to its 136th Annual Convention lineup including a special breakout session featuring a panel discussion on the future of the banking industry.
The Annual Convention will be held August 25-27 at the Hilton Austin Downtown.
The 45-minute forum will highlight TBA’s commitment to ensuring the future of our industry by growing and supporting the banking programs at Texas colleges and universities, as well as its mission to support diversity inclusion and develop talent on behalf of member banks.
Hear from university leaders at Texas A&M University, Sam Houston State University and other universities. The exclusive panel discussion will also examine the top trends for undergraduate and MBA banking programs, best practices on the university level, curriculum, internship opportunities and much more.
This session is perfect for bankers who are looking to connect with TBA’s university partners and promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
Currently, TBA supports six undergraduate banking programs in Texas including Sam Houston State University, Stephen F. Austin State University, Texas A&M Kingsville, Texas A&M University, Texas Tech University and the University of Houston.
In addition, the Association has collaborated in the development of several new banking programs including the Future Bankers Leadership Program at Texas Southern University, UTEP’s Banking Academy, along with Hardin-Simmons University Wealth Management Program, which are scheduled to debut this fall.
TBA also supports the various banking programs through its Student Membership Program, which debuted last fall. The new program is free to students enrolled in these programs and provides students with a broad understanding of community banks and the integral part they play within local communities through access to the association’s advocacy, services and vision for the banking industry.
