In 1982, he joined a community bank in the Mid-Cities area as an executive vice president, becoming president two years later.

Bradford was appointed president/CEO of the National Bank of Texas in 1997 and was elected to the board of directors. His commitment to growth propelled the bank’s success: Total assets grew from $53 million to nearly $400 million and loans from $16 million to nearly $300 million.

He has served on the board of directors of the Texas Bankers Association and is a recipient of the Tarrant County Banker of the Year award. He has also served on American Bankers Association committees.

He continues to be active in civic affairs in Fort Worth and the Mid-Cities as well as with his alma mater, TCU.
