TBA fulfills Banking Endowment Commitment at SHSU

The Texas Bankers Association and its philanthropic arm, the Texas Bankers Foundation, are pleased to announce that the Texas Bankers Foundation Chair in Commercial Banking Endowment at Sam Houston State University has been fully funded. Established in 2016, TBA pledged $250,000 in a matching campaign to create a chair at the university to focus solely on creating educational opportunities for students wishing to pursue banking careers.

TBA invited contributions to meet the pledged match. Donations were made by: James E. Bain; Community Bank & Trust; First National Bank Texas; Moody National Bank; Susser Family Foundation; The First State Bank, Louise; Jill & David Vaughn; Marsha Williams; and Woodforest National Bank.

We thank them for their generosity. These funds will help prepare young women and men for a career in banking and create a pipeline of well-educated and committed individuals for the Texas banking industry.
