FDIC launches deposit insurance campaign

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation launched a campaign, “Know Your Risk. Protect Your Money,” to promote deposit insurance. After three regional banks collapsed earlier this year, the FDIC created this public awareness campaign for Americans to gain confidence in the U.S. banking system.

“In light of concerns raised by the bank failures earlier this year, this is an important moment for the FDIC to reach out to the public and ensure that more consumers understand deposit insurance and how it protects their money,” said FDIC Chairman Martin J. Gruenberg.

The digital campaign will run through November and resume again in January 2024 with the start of tax filing season.
