Foster elected Chairman of the Advisory Board for TRERC

Doug Foster, director at SouthStar Bank, SSB, was elected Chairman of the Advisory Board of The Texas Real Estate Research Center at Texas A&M University (TRERC), effective January 1. Foster was originally appointed in 2021 to a six-year term by Gov. Greg Abbott. He filled the position of a real estate finance member on the TRERC Board.

Foster retired as commissioner for the Texas Department of Savings and Mortgage Lending and executive director of the Finance Commission of Texas after a 29-year career with the agency.
