The Texas Bankers Association has created a Student Membership Program to provide Undergraduate/MBA banking students with a broad understanding of community banks and the integral part they play within their local communities through access to TBA's advocacy, services and vision for the banking industry.
The complimentary student memberships are designed to help students become keenly aware of banking activities, legislative and regulatory insights from Austin to Washington, D.C., and the benefits of engagement with TBA.
Participating Banking Programs?

Why Belong to TBA?
Advocacy: TBA tracks more than 6,000 bills each Texas legislative session. Since 1885, advocacy has been one of the primary member benefits of the Texas Bankers Association. TBA's advocacy efforts include state, federal, grassroots and regulatory agencies.
Networking opportunities: Representing all Texas banking institutions, the Texas Bankers Association brings together community and regional banks and branches, bank holding companies and savings institutions. TBA is the largest and oldest state bankers association in the nation. Featuring over 400 banks and 4,500 branches within the association, student members are able to network with banking leaders, fellow students and professionals in the industry.
Out-of-the-classroom learning: TBA works to enhance the operational and leadership skills of its bankers by training more than 20,000 bankers annually. Select educational offerings are available in a variety of formats to make training convenient, timely and cost-effective for bankers across a range of bank roles and states of their careers. In addition, TBA annually hosts the largest state banking convention in the United States. With over 200 conferences, schools, seminars and webinars offered, professional development is available at every stage of a bankers’ career. Special access and discounts are available to student members for select educational programming and events (admission fees vary based on the event type, location, and platform).
Industry news: Get access to banking-related news, research and resources designed exclusively for TBA members. From TBA’s award-winning Texas Banking magazine to its Texas Banking e-newsletter, student members are able to stay in-the-know on all things banking. TBA utilizes videos, news releases and social media to proudly tell the story of Texas community banking. The association serves as a key banking industry resource for state and national news media.
