S. 2155 Passes With Bipartisan Support

By a vote of 258 to 159, the U.S. House of Representatives just passed S. 2155, the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief and Consumer Protection Act. The bipartisan bill included 33 yea votes from Democratic congressman.

The program will establish a foundation of the functional areas of trust; provide requirements of state and federal law; identify key considerations for estate planning and the management of tax issues; and offer insight for all areas of asset management. The Texas Trust School has been developed for trust personnel who are new to the business from college, law school, commercial banking and other business activities. The event will be held concurrently with the Graduate Trust School to enable valuable networking and information-sharing with other trust professionals.
