The Texas Rules of Civil Procedure have had major changes to several rules affecting litigation. This session will provide an overview of all the changes to the rules, including ways to serve a lawsuit through social media, changes to the claim for relief language, and major changes to the discovery process.
Montye Holmes is a paralegal at Hirsch & Westheimer, P.C. Ms. Holmes obtained her paralegal certificate from Rice University Paralegal Certificate Program. She is a Board Certified Paralegal in Civil Trial Law through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and holds the designation of Advanced Certified Paralegal from NALA-The Paralegal Association. Ms. Holmes served as president of the Houston Paralegal Association for the 2015-2016 and 2018-2019 terms and continues to serve on the Executive Board of the association. Ms. Holmes is a senior paralegal with Hirsch & Westheimer, P.C. work with Pat Huttenbach for over 17 years.
