Banking agencies extend public comment period on bank-fintech

The Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller extended the public comment period requesting for information on bank partnerships with financial technology companies, otherwise known as bank-fintech.

The deadline has moved from Sept. 30 to Oct. 30 – an additional month extension. The American Bankers Association and other associations sent a joint letter requesting the agencies extend the public comment period to 90 days instead of the initial 60 days.
