TikTok trend with a big bank turns out fraudulent

A new TikTok trend has emerged where users attempt to exploit a supposed “glitch” in Chase bank ATMs to get “unlimited free money.”

Experts identify this trend as modern check fraud, which encourages users to deposit fake checks for large amounts. The so-called glitch credited some accounts before the checks cleared, but Chase quickly resolved the issue and is now recovering the funds from those who participated.
