The White House published its strategy blueprint for securing the nation’s infrastructure and private sector against cyber threats.

The newly published National Cyber Strategy urges “unprecedented coordination” to strengthen U.S. infrastructure and industry, calling for major investments in emerging technologies and updated security practices.

According to the document, the administration plans to:

  • Incentivize private companies to identify, disrupt and deter adversary cyber networks.
  • Streamline and modernize cyber regulations, reducing compliance burdens and aligning global standards between regulators and industry.
  • Upgrade federal information systems through zero-trust architecture, post-quantum cryptography, cloud migration and other cybersecurity best practices.
  • Fortify critical infrastructure and secure supply chains, reducing reliance on “adversary vendors and products” and boosting the adoption of U.S.-made technologies.
  • Enhance protections for cryptocurrencies, blockchain systems and artificial intelligence, recognizing their growing role in commerce and national security.
  • Remove barriers to building a strong cyber workforce, enabling smoother collaboration among government, the military, academia and the private sector.
