FDIC finalizes updates to signage rules

The FDIC board approved revisions to its recently updated signage regulations and extended the implementation deadline by several months.

The agency first adopted the new signage standards in 2024, with compliance originally slated for March 2025. Last year, FDIC leadership proposed additional adjustments and delayed the effective date to January 1, 2027. The final rule formalizes those changes and further pushes the compliance deadline to April 1, 2027.
