Senate confirms Warsh as next Fed chair

The Senate voted 54-45 to confirm Kevin Warsh as the next chairman of the Federal Reserve. Earlier this week, the Senate confirmed his appointment to the Fed board.

Warsh was nominated earlier this year by President Trump to succeed Jerome Powell as Fed chairman. Powell’s term as chairman ends on Friday.
