The Texas Bankers Association has joined as a co-founder of the Y’all Street Alliance, uniting financial services organizations, their CEOs and partners to promote the strength and depth of Texas banking, investment and capital markets across America and around the world. Texas is the world’s 8th largest economy and America’s new financial capital.

The dramatic shift of the nation’s capital markets, investment and banking infrastructure, along with a rapidly expanding workforce, has been nothing short of astounding. However, this incredible transformation did not happen by accident. It has been cultivated by leaders who understand that business-friendly policies, low taxation and commonsense regulation create a dynamic environment for growth, opportunity and a better quality of life for our citizens. Texas banks of all sizes — from the largest international brands and strong regional institutions to our relationship-focused Texas community banks — have played a significant role in the rise of the state’s economy.

“Y’all Street is more than just one place in our state, it reflects the ‘Texas Way’ of doing business,” said TBA’s President and CEO Chris Furlow who join Susser Bank CEO Sam Susser and Texas Stock Exchange CEO James Lee in launching the group. “You’re not just seeing the largest of firms, but a deep bench of community and mid-size banks that are fueling the Texas boom,” said Furlow. “TBA’s involvement is about promoting their role in this economy and ensuring that they have an ongoing voice at the table as Y’all Street continues to grow.”

Texas now stands as the home of free enterprise and free markets in the U.S. The Texas Bankers Association and our Y’all Street Alliance colleagues will be working to keep it that way for decades to come.
