Texas Tech conducts family ownership at community banks survey
The Texas Tech University School of Banking and the Excellence in Banking Program continue to support a valuable research initiative examining how family ownership and involvement impact the financial performance of community banks in Texas.
Our colleagues, Dr. Jeff Mercer and Mike Mauldin, invite participation from Texas-based, family-owned community banks in a brief 5-minute survey that will contribute to this important academic study.
Titled “The Impact of Family Ownership Concentration on the Financial Performance of Community Banks: Evidence from Texas,” the study is being conducted by Ph.D. candidate Farhana Rahman under the supervision of Dr. Drew Winters. The survey collects insights on ownership structures and the role of family involvement in decision-making.
All responses will be anonymized, aggregated and used exclusively for academic research purposes.
Your participation will help deepen understanding of the unique dynamics that shape Texas community banks—and support future-focused, evidence-based banking education. Participate in the survey here.
