Financial Education

The Bankers Foundation is committed to improving financial literacy and promoting consumer education across Texas. Bankers are experts at money management, so it's a natural fit for them to be involved in consumer education programs to enhance the lives of citizens in their communities. These programs include: teaching children the benefits of saving, educating teenagers on how to use credit wisely, instructing young adults in budgeting for and financing their first home, providing programs for the unbanked and helping protect the elderly from fraud.

Support Financial Education

The Texas Bankers Foundation, in association with some of the top graduate banking schools in the U.S., provides scholarships to deserving Texas bankers to encourage and promote excellence in the fields of banking and finance. Employees of TBA-member banking institutions who meet the schools' admissions requirements are eligible.

Robbery Rewards Program

The Texas Bankers Foundation administers the Robbery Rewards program to prevent and discourage robberies and other crimes against Texas banks and their employees. The program provides funds for rewards, thereby assisting law enforcement agencies in obtaining information to assist in the arrest and conviction of perpetrators. Rewards are given based upon the filing of formal charges against suspects.
